Over the past 10 years, I’ve helped hundreds of people overcome their problems, improve their wellbeing and their quality of life. Perhaps you’re looking at this website because someone I’ve helped has recommended me.
People usually come to see me because they’re struggling with anxiety, depression or some other problem that’s holding them back. They want to change something about themselves for the better. In my experience, with the right help, change doesn’t need to be hard once you’ve made up your mind that you want to change.
My goal is to help you make that change in the shortest time possible and with long lasting results. I can’t work miracles but it’s amazing what can be achieved with commitment and effort. I’ve been privileged to see hundreds of people turn their lives around.

Choosing the right counsellor or hypnotherapist
When you’re looking for a counsellor or hypnotherapist in Plymouth, it’s important to find one that you feel comfortable with. I’m supportive, non-judgemental, practical, down to earth and sometimes challenging! I try not to use jargon or psychobabble, although I will introduce you to relevant theories and ideas if I think they’re helpful.
I’m trained in several different therapeutic approaches, which means that I can tailor my approach to suit you.
I’m an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). Counselling or hypnotherapy?
Counselling and hypnotherapy are both used to help people with a range of problems such as: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship problems and stress.
Hypnotherapy is likely to appeal to people who prefer to focus on their future goals and achieve change without exploring their past. It’s used to help people:
- improve their emotional wellbeing, such as overcoming depression or anxiety;
- change an aspect of their life for the better, e.g. stop smoking, lose weight;
- relieve the symptoms of any medical conditions that are made worse by stress, e.g. irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
